Lupita Nyong’o burst onto the scene in 2013 with her amazing performance in 12 Years a Slave, and has since shown off her amazing style on red carpet after red carpet. Her signature look is bold color, great shapes, simple silhouettes, and matching. This outfit is no different – and is super-simple to DIY. Here’s how:
How would YOU accessorize this cool colorblocked sheath?

You’ve all heard of probiotics, right? Those excellent-for-you bacteria that keep your gut (and the rest of you!) healthy and functioning? Well, taking probiotics internally for optimum health has been a part of many cultures for centuries (with culinary traditions of kefir, natto, miso, sauerkraut, and kimchee, for example)…but how about taking probiotics externally? Would the same benefits we experience when consuming probiotics also come into play when applied to our skin? (more…)

Going out in the evening, which necessitated a little bit of much-needed dressing up, so I chose my favorite and ultimately versatile handmade reversible (front-to-back AND inside-out) Gossip Girl-inspired dress. It’s very simple and elegant, so it works for a variety of occasions. I wore it backwards for this evening, with the zipper in the back. (more…)

Hello friends! I am back from my trip to Arizona to see my Dad, and am so pleased to announce that my recent DIY project for Darby Smart has launched! Woohoo! I’m officially a Darby Smart Designer!
Inspired by all those chic lacquer boxes I’m seeing everywhere lately like on Joss & Main (and that just so happen to cost a fortune), I crafted this with some great supplies from Darby Smart. And the kit is now available for everyone to buy – only $29!
This would be an amazing graduation gift for someone special, a wonderful birthday present, or a cute addition to a bookshelf or vanity.
Check out their version! Which one do you like better – blue agate or purple??!
Thanks so much to Darby Smart for the collab!

P.S. Oh, and if you end up making this DIY, please share your version with hashtags #DARBYSMART and #MADEBYME on Twitter and Instagram!

Welcome to the first installment of DIY That Style! I actually used to do a version of this as “Steal That Style” …this is basically the same thing, just renamed. And made a little cooler, with more of a focus on DIY.
For the first breakdown, I’m going to take a look at Diane Kruger‘s recent chic nautical Spring shopping ensemble – which can be easily re-created at home. Love all that navy!
For this dotty statement blazer, I’d personally go with a pair of red pants and totally red-white-and-blue it up!
What would YOU rock this polka dot blazer with?
