Here’s what she says about this month’s playlist:
They say March roars in like a lion, so to balance the roar, I love listening to acoustic and calming music. I find March to be a time of reflection. (But who am I kidding… I love introspection year ’round. Nonetheless…) As I struggle to adapt to darker mornings and brighter evenings, I find myself needing balance and restoration. I desire to purge things from the prior year that I seldom used, clean house, revamp my quarterly goals, and switch up my music selection. I created this playlist with this sort of mental and physical spring cleaning in mind. May this selection of songs help to channel the roar of March’s lion into a megaphone for your wildest goals, showing you your full potential for the season of growth we are entering.

Hello friends! Today I’d love to walk you through all the fashion and cool watches we featured in my recent Show Your Colors Modify Watches x Chic Steals Promotional Video. Some people have asked me: “Which Mod is she wearing?” or “Where did you get that dress?” so I’d love to do a look-by-look breakdown with links where to buy everything. This post may get a little long, but here goes!
**All Modify watches that we used were the “Mini” sizes!!
To let you guys in on a little secret: There were actually 10 outfits we had planned to shoot for this video. On the shoot date, we were losing light quickly and had to cut 1 (a Nautical look) in order to get some of the more important ones in before the light changed too dramatically. In the edit, we also removed another 1 (Yoga Outfit) because we felt it didn’t add anything to the piece. So we ended up with 8 outfits, all seen above.
Plus, Modify is doing a Kickstarter right now where you can order a watch with your own custom face (above discount code not applicable). You can get EXACTLY what you want on the face – which sounds pretty cool!
Hi all! I am so ecstatic to announce that our promotional video for Modify Watches is now LIVE on Chic Steals’ official Youtube channel (if you’re not a subscriber, please subscribe – I’d love to see you there and there are many more videos coming soon)! Check it out above, and let me know what you think – any feedback is welcome 🙂
Also, it took a team of talented, dedicated professionals to bring this to life. We would LOVE it and be so grateful if you could help by sharing as far and wide as possible. Click, watch, like, thumbs-up, share – anything will help get the word out and bring recognition to those who spent their time and skills working on this.
Thank you so much to Modify Watches, the awesome production team I worked with, and you, my readers, for being a part of this!
AND…as a special thank you to all my readers, you can now get 15% off any order at Modify! Which Mod (face + band combo) is totally YOU? Check them all out here:
P.S. And for those interested in all the fashion and specific Mods featured in this video, stay tuned – I’ll have a post coming soon with a complete breakdown + links. 😉

Whether single, hitched, or in limbo, we can all appreciate songs that come from the heart and talk about the life pumping organ’s illogical ways. We all know that love is patient, kind, and humble, but we’re human and we live in a world of gray areas. That’s why I love songs that talk about the realistic side of love – that part where our emotions are in flux. We are stoked to be in love, but terrified. We are excited by mystery, but annoyed by the unknown. May we learn to be okay with the margins in our book of life – the areas that aren’t completely filled in and explainable. May these songs resonate with you and give you a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart and nestle into the gaps of the unknown and the constantly changing. More than anything, however, may you know that you are loved.

I was contacted by a member of the Associated Press recently to feature my DIY Enamel Spring Flower Bib with Martha Stewart Crafts. It’s a super-fun jewelry project that uses the innovative Martha Stewart crafts Enameling Paints for a beautiful, vintage-inspired look. We had a nice chat over the phone, I sent photos, and then found out that the story posted on a number of news outlets. Here are the links so far:
I spotted this over on Joss & Main and thought to re-post here. Though I don’t share a lot about home decor here (I am planning to though, in the near future!), I figured books are easy-access, wonderful sources of inspiration and ideas. Decorate away, fellow DIY’ers!
And you can always turn to Joss & Main for a chic, on-trend selection of curated home decor finds – it’s been such a source of inspiration to simply receive their newsletters in my inbox showcasing all sorts of possible rooms and design schemes…they always get my crafty cheapskate DIY-or-die mental wheels a-spinning!
