Hi all! Hope all of you had a wonderful Fourth of July (if you celebrate it, that is). My in-laws bought some fireworks for Lil Tot to set off…on July 5th. So we will probably play with them next week or so, which kind of misses the point. But the thought was there!
It also just so happened that almost everything I was wearing on this day was bought in Japan. I found a couple similar items online available to US shoppers – check out the links above!!
Hub took these shots in front of my in-laws’ newly-renovated house. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen some shots of it already – it’s like a fairy tale cottage! However, he just snapped a couple photos quickly since we had people waiting on us wanting to leave, so the quality is not that great. I have gotten very few outfit shots while here in Japan since my husband is mostly off visiting friends, Lil Tot has been in school, and mother-in-law has trouble working a camera (usually getting shots of her fingers in the frame too ;-). Plus there’s not much to document – I’m just relying on a steady stream of loose cotton tees, coupled with a plain black maxi-skirt or dark jeans and sneakers for the tons of walking + steamy, sauna-like temperatures every day. It seems a waste to dress up in anything structured or requiring hand-washing at the end of the day.
Still loving my single-ear earring though! I’m sure we’ll be seeing similar ones in Claire’s or Forever 21 pretty soon…and you could even DIY your own from a filigree connecter-piece for general jewelry-making!
Hope all of you had a great week:-) I’m off to a remote onsen (hot springs) for the weekend to get bloated on 15-course meals and very, very clean from repeat bathing!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
