Welcome to the second installment of a new series I’m trying out: Steal That Style!, where I feature a celebrity’s recent outfit and break it down into the Steal-able (that is, similar pieces that are affordable) and the DIY-able.  Let me know what you guys think – I’d love your feedback!

Frieda Pinto attended the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort presentation on Wednesday of this week in a sweet and simple summery outfit.  The breezy, understated chicness of this outfit is made complete by a scarf wrap top.  Simple to do, easy the emulate – here’s how to get the same look for a whole lot less:

How to Get Her Look

Stylish Steals

Belt: River Island Lock Detail Belt, $43, ASOS.com.

Shoes: Madden Girl Epcott Wedge Sandal, $49 or Aerosoles Plush Around Wedge Sandal, $33, both Amazon.com.

DIY Deals

Top: This summery scarf top can easily be recreated with a silk scarf you may already own.  Using this Hermes scarf knotting guide as reference, fashion into a halter top (see bottom right).  For the ends that go around your neck, make an X with them at your collarbone and pull the ends tightly behind your neck for Frieda Pinto’s fitted style.

Skirt: If you can’t find an affordable white skirt a a store or in a thrift shop, make your own using BurdaStyle Pattern 02/201 #124B.  Add 1.5″-wide belt loops as well to fully emulate the look.

Proof that you don’t need a celeb’s money to look like a million bucks!
