Inspiration: Never Say Never Quote

Never Say Never gold typography quote

Never say never.

Though I’ve heard it many times before, I was surprised to find that this quote is first attributed to Charles Dickens’ Pickwick Papers. (Not Justin Bieber, strangely enough.)

As a creative, you will encounter many roadblocks. You will experience many naysayers along your journey…as well as your own internal voice that talks you down from that ledge of dreams. Don’t rule the possibilities out…and keep dreaming.

Inspire: It Always Seems Impossible Until It’s Done Quote

It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done Gold Typography quote

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

-Nelson Mandela

From one of the most inspiring people of our time comes this quote, effective in its simplicity, awe-inspiring at its most humble.

When things seem impossible, know that they only do on this side of them because they aren’t done yet. And persevere. Like the brave and untiring Nelson Mandela did.

Truly inspiring.

Inspire: You Are Enough Quote

You Are Enough gold typography by Carly J. Cais
Fancy typography quote for your Monday.

You are enough. You are always enough.

Though I am egotistical enough to attribute this quote to me, it’s kind of an adaptation of the Maya Angelou quote:

You are alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.

-Maya Angelou

However the quote above is what I often try to remind myself of, when things get too much or are overwhelming. Please share with anyone who may feel self-doubt or unworthiness, because they (and you) are always, always enough.

Quote: The Worst Enemy to Creativity is Self-Doubt

The Worst Enemy to Creativity is Self-Doubt typography quote by Sylvia Plath

The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.

-Sylvia Plath

It’s been awhile, my friends.

I took an impromptu hiatus from this blog because I was hard at work on many other things.

My day job managing the online presence of Studio 3, Inc., posts in collaborations with brands that can’t go live yet, reorganizing and re-linking my entire DIY gallery (still a work in progress), planning out new content for Chic Steals, making jewelry and baubles to launch my line soon, working on videos with Uncommon Era, plus personal things threatening to reach out and swallow me whole…yup, it’s been a very busy March so far.

I’ve had to let a lot of things slide.

Plus being so busy has begun to make me doubt myself…is it worth it to be this busy? Am I doing to much? Should I lay any one of the above to rest?

Of course, with these thoughts circling in my head it has been hard to write about being creative. So I took a little time and put together this bit of typography just to flex those creative muscles.

Just because.

And I find, that if I can lay those nagging doubts to rest and just do something, regardless, I start to feel more creative, and back to my old self again.

How do you deal with creative block?
