Again, my Magic Paprika jeans had people stopping me to talk to me or remark on my outfit today. Random people who I came across at Home Depot or Whole Foods or R.E.I., just stopping me with a compliment about what I was wearing. Maybe it’s just that red jeans that are attention-garnering out here in the suburban locale where I live?? (Though I live in the “Portland Metro area” I don’t live in the city of Portland itself.)
I’ve been looking for the perfect marine-style breton stripe top for awhile; and just my luck, Forever 21 has a couple different versions in right now. Though they don’t have a navy/white stripe, (mustard/navy, green/navy, and burgundy/navy are the other 3 choices they have) I think this black/white one goes pretty well with everything, and it’s lightweight enough to be a good layering piece.
Though these Abaete for Payless slides are not the easiest to walk in, I’m glad I snapped them up when I did a couple years ago. I even matched my pedicure – Chanel Blue Satin with a little rhinestone on my big toes! (though usually I’m too lazy to match pedi to outfit…) (Though I thought Chanel nail polish would be a waste of money since I figured the quality would be pretty much the same as low-end polishes, the difference is night and day! Chanel polishes are deeper, more intense color, superb coverage in even 1 coat, and last super-long; very resistant to chips! Even though I still stand by the belief that 60-80% of the retail cost of a brand item is “brand cache” and not necessarily quality [take Chanel jewelry, for example, according to many online forums], the Chanel-brand polishes are really top-notch.)
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Labor Day tomorrow and the end of Summer already…can you believe it??!
xoxo
