These Hermes Knotting Cards from MaiTai’s Picture Book are super-duper helpful. All the ideas! All the DIY possibilities! How many of you are running to your closet to pull out all your scarves and try this out? I am!
Speaking of knots, I’m also drooling over this knot book! Just think of all the belts…brooches…barrettes…earrings…rings…and other numerous accessories you could fashion out of knots!! Really, REALLY early birthday present, pretty please?
I’ve just discovered this fashion blog that focuses on the cheap, but chic: the creator only showcases outfits bought at Wal-Mart…yes, I said “Wal-Mart“! Check it here at PennyChic.com
DIY: Quick Gifts for Chic People posted by Chictopia user Le Petit Lapin. LOVE the sequined collar and bag covered with cut-up CD’s. What great ideas!

No problem! I love your fashion week DIY inspiration posts – they’re amazing; and I certainly wouldn’t have the time to go through each collection as you do!! And that “book clutch” I’ve also seen a couple times on the red carpet with Natalie Portman…except the ones the celebs have been carrying are the embroidered Olympia Le-Tan clutches (http://tomandlorenzo2.blogspot.com/2010/12/olympia-le-tan-handbags.html) which is just taking the DIY to a whole new level…I like that your idea is so simple and yet so effective!

Carly, did you like the Knot book? I need to make a pretty knot and am thinking about purchasing that book… but it has some negative reviews on amazon.com

Actually I haven’t bought it yet.:-/ Sorry; I couldn’t say… I’ve had so many DIY books on my wishlist for so long…then I had to buy a whole bunch of books and software for school (and a new hard drive when my computer ran out of memory – UGGGGHHH!!) – so I haven’t been able to check out that book just yet. Maybe your local library has a copy and you can check it out first without buying it?
Thanks for replying. That’s what I was planning to do: check out my local library and a local used books store. Will let you know if have any success.
