This week’s typography quote couldn’t be truer – that often, it’s your own pigenholing of yourself that keeps you from change.
It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you are not.”
-Denis Waitley
Said by Psychology of Winning author and motivational speaker Denis Waitley.
Who do you think you are not? And what can you do to think that you ARE?
Have a wonderful start to the week!

“Success is no accident.”
Despite the questionable personal life of the person to whom this quote is attributed (and his immense success and recognition otherwise as being exemplary in his sport)…this quote resonates as a truism across all disciplines.
Success is never by accident, only by years of hard work and dedication. By the time the world sits up and takes notice, success may seem accidental, but you can be certain there has been immense struggle and perseverance behind every success story.
Food for thought.

Each day is an opportunity to improve.
This is an adapted quote from marathon runner John Bingham: “Every day gives you an opportunity to improve.”
Hear, hear. Will you be a better version of yourself in 8 hours, 10 hours, by nightfall? Who do you want to be then? And who do you want to be tomorrow?

“You are my only love.”
-James Joyce
This quote is excerpted from a love letter by James Joyce to the love of his life, chambermaid Nora Barnacle.
Do you have an only love? Is it a person? A pursuit? A thing?
I do – and this is on my mind all.the.time.
Henceforward…love truly, love deeply, love always.

Live. Love. Laugh.
Advice for the every day. Something I endeavor to do.
Adapted from the 1904 poem “Success” by Bessie Anderson Stanley:
He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much;
Who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children;
Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
Who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it;
Who has left the world better than he found it,
Whether an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul;
Who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had;
Whose life was an inspiration;
Whose memory a benediction.

You’ll notice the format of this quote this week is a little different – I’m trying something new! I’m using the Sobbers font from the Spring Bundle from FontBundles.net. I’ll be sharing a tutorial tomorrow on how to make your own inspirational quote typography using this font, so check back on Tuesday!
