Well, Spring break’s now in full swing!…and Lil Tot has come down with a coughing, sniffling, feverish cold.

Which means that I’m also stuck inside, looking after him as best I can, trying to pry him away from video games and TV and trying to keep his mind of his misery.  So I’ve been able to do little things here and there, but nothing that requires a big chunk of time.Take this DIY Lace Maxiskirt for example.  Super-easy…and quick, since I could only squeeze it in while Lil Tot was otherwise occupied.  I think it came together in less than 20 minutes.
I’m loving this long lace skirt for Spring…you can pair it with so many different things: leggings, cut-off shorts, bike shorts, a black mini, over a colored maxiskirt, over a long dress…the possibilities are endless.  And it looks just like some way more expensive pieces currently being sold!

And I’ll tell you just how to make your own very soon! (*Hint: there’s this cool little trick necessary in selecting your fabric…which is why it only took me 20 minutes to put together!)

I paired it with my silk-blend drapey Kain label tee, and a dyed howlite cross I recently found at the craft supply store.

Well, I’ve had my eye on the cross finding for awhile, but didn’t feel like paying $10 for just that component.  So I waited until it went on sale, snapped it up, and then made a long cross necklace with it.  I was thinking of making some extra ones and stocking them in my Etsy…what do you all think?

I can’t wait to share the tutorial for the skirt with you!

I’ve come down with Lil Tot’s sniffles as well…so I’m heading to bed early tonight to try and beat them back.  I’m hoping to get a substantial DIY Links of the Week post up tomorrow!  Til then, lovelies~
