this is a lovely infographic, it made everything so mush more easier to understand. I’ve been contemplating opening a shop. the only thing I haven’t found mentioned anyhere on etsy is whether you’re charged for having the shop let’s say for a period of time with no items in it. but I think that aspect is free right?

Well, for every item you list in your shop you pay a non-refundable fee of 20 cents. The listing is active for 3 months, then disappears. If no one buys it before the 3 months is up, you can renew the listing for another 20 cents. It doesn’t cost anything to have a shop (as far as I know), just to have things in it that are available to buy. Glad you liked the infographic!:-)
