Sunday afternoon was the monthly Portland Blogger Meetup – where we noshed lunch munchies, networked with other local bloggers, did a holiday craft, and exchange Secret Santa gifts. It was great to meet up with other PDX [airport code for Portland, OR if anyone was wondering] bloggers, and see the range of styles and blogs represented.
A huge thank you to Jenni of A Well-Crafted Party who put the entire event together! Her decorations are just gorgeous!! (Would you believe I went to elementary/junior high with her husband and his brother? His brother was in my class! In Yokohama, Japan! In 1990! And she was following my blog even before she knew who I was!! Isn’t that weird??!)
Our repast. (clockwise, from bottom left) Ginger Spice cookies with pumpkin cream cheese dip; Spicy Cucumber tea sandwiches; assorted fruit; Wheat Thins, cream cheese, and blackberry preserves (I think); caprese salad (mozzarella balls with balsamic vinaigrette for dipping); assorted fruit with yogurt dip; soft chocolate chip cookies.
Stylish bloggers. (from left to right) Nicole [our host], from Nicole Marie Who?!; Nadia from Hope Floats; Olga from Vintage Pretty.
Laura (from Backhandsprings through Bridgetown) describes her blog as Jenni looks on.
Olga and Miranda from One Stylish Day at a Time. I was her Secret Santa and she gifted me the loveliest Essie nail polishes!
Sam (from Sam Rosen) and Nicole.
Nicole from Running in Heels.
Nadia shows off her outfit and the Secret Santa gift she received from Olga. Can you believe she has 4 kids???!
Marina from Curable Life on the left. She has the coolest nails!
Neon orange tips + gold chunky glitter = awesomeness!
Jenni arranged for everyone to get their craft on with pretty glass ornaments, fabric and ribbon scraps, and glitter.
Simona from The Mecca (not yet live).
It was so great meeting everyone and I hope we can do it again soon!

This looks like so much fun! I love your blog – I just started my own and I love the little instant community there seems to be. How do you find out about these events? I’d love to go to one!

Thanks Adi! I actually didn’t know about this community for some time…if you’re looking for one in your own city, you could contact other bloggers who are local and have been around for awhile and ask if they have any recommendations. Or join a Meetup.com group that meets in your city, or other blog-related networking events! Or even start a group with some like-minded bloggers!!
