Yup, it was parked on the corner of 6th ave and 42nd st, right on the northwest corner of Bryant Park. I was like, that’s the ugliest jeep I’ve ever seen – probably driven by some idiot surfer chick who wants to stand out in February in New York City.

And then I got this in my email:

Lilly Pulitzer’s Jeep Wrangler Made a Splash This New York Fashion Week

To commemorate their 50th Anniversary, Lilly Pulitzer created a limited edition Jeep Wrangler in an iconic print (named “petal to the metal” of course!)

The Lilly team knows that Fashion Week means one word, schlepping! Lilly Pulitzer extended an invitation for one FULL day of complimentary, colorful rides for a select group of editors, stylists, and VIPs to shuffle between shows- after all, black cars are SO last season. Lilly treated them to a taste of sunny Palm Beach during a New York winter, and let the Lilly-clad chauffeurs do the driving (how could anyone refuse?)

Attached is a hi res image of the Lilly Pulitzer limited edition Jeep Wrangler. Let me know if you need more info.

They are available for purchase, for more info please go to http://www.lillypulitzer.com/page/promotions.

So for all y’all who might be thinking about buying one of these lovelies… (of course they don’t advertise the price on the page)…

Heh heh. Didn’t see any chauffer hanging about – and I sure as heck wasn’t invited to partake in the “complimentary, colorful rides” they are so boldly offering…but I would definitely have gotten off my high horse and been ferried around in one of those monstrosities if it meant me not having to drag all my bags and equipment for the second time in one day all the way cross-town. Sheesh!

And as a footnote, I love it when PR lackeys send off emails that would by torn to shreds by any 5th-grade grammar teacher. Learn how to use capitalization, commas, hyphens, and colons, people!!
Actually, check that…it was a “PR Executive.” Shame!
